Note: an earlier version of the story, citing the AP, reported the limo was carrying a wedding party. This was incorrect, although two of the couples were newlyweds, having been married in June. We have corrected the story.

Twenty people are dead after a limousine was involved in a crash at a popular tourist attraction in upstate New York.

The wreck occurred late Saturday when the limo was speeding down a hill and was involved in an accident that sent it into the parking lot of the Apple Barrel Country Store in Schoharie, New York, about 170 miles north of New York City. A second vehicle was reportedly involved in the limo crash.

Witnesses to the accident describe a horrific scene. First responders reportedly struggled to handle the number of dead and injured. “I heard some screaming. It looked serious because people were running back and forth,” Bridey Finegan of Schoharie told WNYT NewsChannel 13 .

The names of those involved has not yet been released, and The National Transportation Safety Board is currently on the scene investigating.

So far, this is the only known photo of the wrecked limo, leading many to believe that the other vehicle was the car that went into the parking lot and killed two bystanders.
