Judgment Day for Michael Avenatti: Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Ordered to Pay Millions [VID]

Michael Avenatti, the attorney for adult film actress Stormy Daniels, has been ordered to pay nearly $5 million in restitution after losing a court case. The order comes on the same day that Avenatti was evicted from his Southern California office.

Avenatti, who has dropped hints that he may run for President against Donald Trump in 2020, now has bigger problems to face than the demands of the campaign trail.

On Monday, a judge in California ruled against the attorney in a case involving back pay with a lawyer who worked for his law firm, according to a report from The Associated Press and posted by Yahoo News.

Attorney Jason Frank, who worked with Avenatti at his firm, filed suit in California claiming he was owed $4.85 million in pay. He claimed Avenatti understated his firm’s profits n an effort to avoid paying him what he was fully owed. The media-hungry Avenatti did not contest the lawsuit, making the judge’s decision a foregone conclusion.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the ruling follows a bankruptcy court judgment in May of this year in which his law firm was ordered to pay around $10 million to Frank over the same issue. The firm also owes the IRS nearly half a million in back taxes and penalties.

Avenatti was hit with a double whammy on Monday, as another judge issued his firm, Eagan Avenatti LLC, an eviction notice over months of unpaid rent. The eviction notice applies to the firm’s office in Newport Beach. In the back pay suit, Avenatti contends he is the one who is owed money.

Michael Avenatti has spent most of his time recently representing adult film star Stormy Daniels, who says she had a relationship with President Trump years ago. A judge recently threw out a defamation case he filed on Daniels’ behalf against the President, when he called her accusations a “con job.” They were also ordered to pay the President’s attorney fees in the case.

Despite all of the recent setbacks, Avenatti has been a popular fixture on mainstream media to discuss Daniels’ allegations. He has even dropped hints at running for President and has made numerous appearances at liberal political protests.

Even some liberal media outlets have ended their honeymoon with Avenatti. A recent expose by The Daily Beast, which exposed Avenatti’s financial issues in relation to the lawsuits, was slammed by the lawyer. This video from Woochit details his response.
