A woman has posted a YouTube video claiming that she was sexually assaulted by a friend and donor of Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein. The woman also claims Feinstein knew of the assaulted and helped to cover it up.
In 1990, Sharyn Bovat claims she was at a birthday party at the Fairmount Hotel in San Francisco for Dianne Feinstein, who was running for governor at the time.
Bovat says he mother was friends with Feinstein and she herself was asked to escort a Japanese investor to the party. The man was a friend and donor of Feinstein’s. Afterward, she claims she went upstairs to her room, but her Japanese date followed her and sexually assaulted her.
She also claims both her mother and Feinstein knew of the assault and helped to cover it up.
It should be noted that the accuser, Sharyn Bovat, has offered no evidence to support her claim, other than a picture she took with the senator. However, Feinstein herself and a number of supporters of Dr. Christine Ford say women’s accusations of sexual assault should be taken seriously, even without supporting evidence. Ford is currently accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault at some point in the 1980s.
Bovat, however, has a YouTube channel littered with various videos she has made claiming to be involved in a number of conspiracy theories. Her website is likewise filled with unsubstantiated and often outlandish claims, including that she is the daughter of Robert Kennedy. She claims to be a former intelligence gatherer for the Department of Defense and once conducted spying for former First Lady Nancy Reagan.
That should be taken into account when watching these videos.
She has also posted follow-up videos in which she attempts to confront Feinstein at her office.
She does not indicate whether or not she confronted Dianne Feinstein.
She does, however, post videos in which she appears to attend the Kavanaugh testimony in Washington, D.C.
